Mr. F. Hugh Buckner, Chairman, was founder and Chairman of a corporate strategy consulting company, Planning Research & Systems Limited which he sold in 1977. In 1973 Hugh acquired and became the Chief Executive of the Weyburn Engineering Company Limited which was listed on the London Stock Exchange and was for several years one of the fastest growing stocks on the London market and which he built into the largest independent camshaft manufacturer in the world. In 1977, following the successful expansion of Weyburn, the Carborundum Company of Niagara Falls U.S. made a public offer which was accepted. From 1977 Hugh managed the Carborundum Engine Components Division worldwide. In 1982 Hugh founded Consolidated Communications Corporation Inc. of New Jersey, U.S. which over the next few years built and acquired cable television systems in five states including 22 cities and towns in the United States of America. Hugh sold this business in July 1987. Hugh founded and is Chairman of Sandy Port Development Company Limited in the Bahamas where he lives and, with Mr. Horney, commenced development of the Sandyport Marina Village in 1985.

Mr. Raymond Y F Horney: Ray has been a Director and Deputy Chairman of Sandy Port since 1985. He founded and was Chairman and Managing Director of Rayford Supreme Holdings plc, a UK retail group, which was listed on the London Stock Exchange in 1983. The company was acquired by Harris Queensway plc in an agreed takeover in 1985. He became chairman of St. James Beach Hotels, a group of 3 hotels in Barbados in 1989 which was listed on the London and Barbados Stock Exchanges in 1994. He took on the added responsibility of Managing Director in 1995 and significantly expanded the group, which was then purchased by Elegant Hotels in an agreed takeover in 1997. He is currently chairman of Real Estate Opportunities plc, which is listed on the London, Dublin, and Jersey Stock Exchanges, which in addition to a very large portfolio of investment and development properties in Ireland owns the Battersea Power Station in London for which the company has submitted the largest planning application ever lodged in the Capital. He is also Chairman of China Real Estate Opportunities plc, which owns investment and development properties including shopping centres and office towers, which are mainly situated in Shanghai. This company is listed on the London Alternative Investment Market (AIM). In addition he is Chairman of Nordic Land plc, which owns investment properties in the Nordic region. Nordic Land is also listed on AIM. Ray is also chairman of Rayford Homes Limited, which owns residential homes in England and rents them on shorthold leases, Redleaf Shopping Centres Limited, which specialises in shopping centres throughout the UK and Ray’s chairmanships also include Castle Market Holdings Limited and Havenview Investments Limited, which own property and land in the Republic of Ireland.

Mr. Garth H. Buckner, President and Director of Sandy Port Development Company Limited has a Masters Degree in Real Estate Development and Finance from New York University. Garth worked on Wall Street at the firm of Scully Bros. Foss & White before returning to the Bahamas. He is experienced in project planning, budgeting, Government approvals, construction contracts, site improvement and building. He is a licensed real estate broker and has been involved with sales for over a decade. In addition to his work at Sandyport he was appointed a Director of the Bahamas Telecommunications Company (BTC) by the Prime Minister in 2007 to help oversee the privatization of the company. He is a past President of The Bahamas Real Estate Association (BREA), the Government mandated licensing authority for real estate in the Bahamas, and past Chairman of BREA’s Legislative Committee. He is actively involved in politics in the Bahamas and is a past Assistant Treasurer of the Free National Movement, the current Government of The Bahamas. He is a former Director of the Nassau Institute, a free-market think tank, and has authored several papers on economic policy.

Mrs. Rowena M. Jones (nee Buckner), is a Director of Portfolio Vacations International Limited and the President of Sandyport Beaches Resort and Hotel Limited. Rowena has extensive experience in hotel and vacation club/timeshare management having worked with the Savoy Group, Marriott Vacation Club and the Gleneagles Hotel in Scotland. She has an honors degree in Business Studies, International Hotel Management and French and trained with the Institute Hotelier “Cesar Ritz” in Switzerland.

Mr. Neale A. Jones, is Vice President of the Sandyport Development Company Limited, with expertise in resort food and beverage management. Neale is a critically acclaimed Chef trained by Maitre Chef de Cuisine, Anton Edelmann, at The Savoy Hotel in London. He was Catering Student of the Year for the East Midlands in 1989. He managed a team of 60 Chefs at the Gleneagles Hotel in Scotland before moving to the Bahamas in 1998 and opening the BBQ Beach Restaurant at Sandyport where he was described by The Lonely Planet as “creative genius”. In 2002 he moved into property development and construction for Sandy Port Development Company Limited.
